Growing up, I believed in asking forgiveness rather than permission. I didn’t want to know what others thought would happen. I wanted to find out for myself. To this day, I’d still prefer to take a chance on lighting myself on fire than wonder “what if”. Taking that leap of faith is hard, regardless of how good the outcome will be. Opportunity cost is real. But only the brave become the success story you’re reading about. Only the bold change the world. So the next time you find yourself asking “but what is things go wrong?” instead ask “but what if things go right?”
